Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Serena Ryder began performing and recording music at the age of 15. Since then she has been writing indie- folk-rock gems and performing alongside artists such as Aerosmith, Jason Castro and Needtobreathe, just to name a few. Her music has won her critical acclaim and a handful of awards and has been featured in television shows including ABC’s Private Practice. Serena dropped into Studio1290 to record some exclusive acoustic versions of songs from her album Is it O.K. on Atlantic Records. She also performed a brilliant version of Bruce Springsteen’s song “Racing In The Street” which was featured on The Boss’s website for a series called Hanging on E-Street. Check it out.
